Community Outreach: For a Good Cause

We at Broken Thumbs Apps understand the importance of a healthy community and try to support our neighborhoods, charities, and schools whenever possible.

2010: This year will be our second year sponsporing UC Berkeley’s Kappa Gamma Delta’s dodgeball tournament benefitting Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization created to serve “people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.”

2010: The two co-founders of Broken Thumbs Apps participated in and finshed the US Half Marathon in San Francisco Novemeber 7, 2010. The race supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a leading pediatric treatment and research facility whose focus is on treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

2009: We recently sponsored a UC Berkeley 2009 Kappa Gamma Delta dodgeball tournament benefitting Nothing But Nets, a grassroots campaign started by the United Nations Foundation to reduce the incidence of malaria in at-risk countries.
