Hi Everybody! We are going to start something new to give you all an opportunity to show-off your planet getaways and possibly win some stars! Today we will be announcing our first Galaxy Getaway Contest! Those interested in entering the contest will be sending in their entries. You will be given about a week to create your entry and submit a photo of your entry. The entries will be looked at and 10 will be selected and posted on the blog for you to vote on your favorite entry. Voting will last for a week, and the winner will be announced on the blog and the Galaxy Getaway Facebook Page.
To Save and Send your photo entry:
Center your planet and decide what you would like to capture. Touch on the camera, located in upper right hand corner of the screen, to take a snapshot of your planet. Touch the “More” icon to visit your getaway Gallery. Touch “Visit Gallery” to access all the photos you have taken. Find the photo you would like to submit for the contest, and touch “Share”. You will be given three options, and select “Email”. If you are unable to see the “Email” selection, you might need to set-up your email account on your device. Before you send your photo, make sure somewhere in the email you state which Contest # the photo is for.

This weekend in the United States, it is the Fourth of July weekend. For those of you who don’t know, the U.S. celebrates their Independence Day on July 4th. Our Independence Day is associated with parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, fireworks and of course our flag colors… Red, White and Blue.
On Monday, July 4th, the Item of The Day will be the Cherry Bomb Fireworks attraction. This is what the final upgrade of the fireworks attraction looks like!

Feature Spotlight: Billboards Decorations
Users can purchase billboard decorations once Level 9 is reached. Billboard decorations will increase the earning potential for the attraction they are advertising when placed on the same planet as the attraction. Billboard decorations can be found under “Decorations” and are bought using stars. Here is an example of one of the billboard decorations, Intergallac - Tic Tac.
The entertainment attraction, The Tic Tac Toe Dome earns a user 1.5 moons per visit. If the user has Tic Tac Toe Dome on the same planet with this billboard decoration, then the user will earn 3 moons per visit. So check out the billboard decorations once you have reached Level 9!

Feature Spotlight: Earn FREE Stars
In Galaxy Getaway’s latest update, we are allowing users to earn FREE stars. To access this, touch the star icon in the upper right hand corner. Then touch “Earn Stars”, and you will be given a message to watch a short video clip to earn 2 FREE Stars. Once you finish watching the video clip, you will have earned 2 FREE Stars!
There are many planets in Galaxy Getaway ready to be unlocked as you level up. Here is a preview of one of the planets to look forward to on your journey through Galaxy Getaway.
